spoilers for The Love Hypothesis and Deep End

Ali Hazelwood has written two campus romance novels set at Stanford University. Her debut The Love Hypothesis is a Stanford story and, more recently, so is Deep End (her eighth novel).

Like a little treat, three characters from The Love Hypothesis make reappearances in Deep End, and since Deep End takes place well after The Love Hypothesis, we get some juicy life updates about beloved characters. The characters we see again in Deep End are.

• Olive Smith – the main character of The Love Hypothesis
• Adam Carlsen – Olive’s love interest

Annotating the cameo moments is a hefty undertaking that requires about 30 tabs total. I recommend using the same tab color for all the cameos and using a fine point sharpie to label the tabs with specific character names.

Meaning: he sends Deep End‘s main character Scarlett straight to Olive once he finds out how brilliant of a student she is.
